Cadillac driver Alex Lynn is thrilled about securing pole position for this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours, considering it special after narrowly missing out on the top spot last year.
Lynn, part of the Jota Caddy team, reminisced about last year’s race when he was moments away from claiming pole, only to have it snatched by Porsche’s Kevin Estre by a small margin.
Securing pole position at Le Mans holds immense significance for Lynn, especially after enduring a close defeat in the previous year’s race.
Teammate Earl Bamber’s strong performance ensured a Caddy 1-2 finish in the qualifying session, further enhancing the team’s success.
Despite facing challenges during the pole lap, including making on-the-fly car adjustments, Lynn managed to secure the top spot with a determined effort.
The entire Jota team, including drivers and crew, showcased exceptional dedication and effort, culminating in a dream qualifying result for the team, as described by co-owner David Clark.
